The Point of Grace

The Point of Grace WELS Milwaukee Area Campus Ministry serves college aged people with a campus presence at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), Marquette (MU), Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), and Wisconsin Lutheran College (WLC).

Our summer season is a time for our Student Leadership and Ministry teams to make plans for the upcoming school year, while reaching out to local churches about what is happening within Campus Ministry and the stories of the lives touched by God's word. 

During the school year, various Student Leadership Teams host Gathering events which focuses on relevant topics that impact the lives of our participants. This involves all of our campuses and is open to all college aged people, whether you attend college or not.  Gatherings include music, food, fellowship and a presentation/discussion led by a knowledgeable presenter. Weekly Bible Study is done at each campus and fellowship activities and service projects are organized to get students out and enjoying the company of others in a safe setting.

Each campus will be governed by a local Student Organization and each student org will be responsible for hosting one Gathering, the local Bible studies and fellowship activities for that campus and will work on one service project to serve their local campus. This will provide students with leadership opportunities as they help make a difference on their local campus for Jesus sake.

We will care for the worship needs of college students who are looking for a church home while they are away from home by connecting them with local congregations to sustain a vibrant worship life.

The Point…

is that we would, as a campus ministry, join with the psalmist who says "I will sing of the Lord's great love forever, with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations. I will declare that your love stands firm forever, that you established your faithfulness in heaven itself". That we as college aged people, ministry team leaders and mentors, would desire to make the faithfulness of Jesus known on our campus and through all generations. That we would be part of the story that God is writing for his Glory that all people might have Life in Jesus name.
